An Unforgettable Night: Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, Royal And The Serpent, and Games We Play at Pine Knob Music Theater

The sun was still high as the first chords from Games We Play rippled through the Pine Knob Music Theater. The emerging band had the honor of opening the evening, and though the crowd was still trickling in, the excitement was palpable. With a twinkle in their eyes, they announced this was their largest show to date, an announcement met with a sea of applause. Their performance, including a stellar cover of The Killers' "Mr. Brightside," was a fantastic start to the evening. Their infectious energy was the perfect primer for what was to come. Following Games We Play was Royal And The Serpent, an act I had been keenly looking forward to. Their tracks have been a staple on my playlists, and to see them perform live was nothing short of a thrill. Their set was vibrant, energetic, and absolutely gripping - it's no surprise that the audience was thoroughly amped for the rest of the night. The resonating lyrics coupled with the magnetic stage presence truly set a high bar for the following acts. Check out their gallery.

As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, the stage was claimed by Bring Me The Horizon. This was an opportunity I had been waiting for years to arise - to photograph and cover their live performance. The set was an unforgettable spectacle, a perfect blend of their newer tracks and old favorites, including "Teardrops", "Happy Song", "MANTRA", and "Can You Feel My Heart". Frontman Oli Sykes owned the stage, ensuring every note hit just as hard as the last. Check out their gallery.

The crowning glory of the night was the highly anticipated headliner - Fall Out Boy. Seeing them now, compared to the small stage they played nearly a decade ago, the difference was striking. Their stage show was a sight to behold - with pyrotechnics, confetti, concussion cannons, and even Pete Wentz brandishing a flamethrower on his bass. The crowd roared as they played through a comprehensive 28-song setlist that spanned their entire discography. From classics like "Sugar, We're Goin Down" and "Dance, Dance" to more recent hits like "Uma Thurman" and "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race", the crowd sang along, a unified voice under the night sky. Notably, they paid a touching tribute to Milo Aukerman of The Descendants, performing a part of "Coffee Mug" in his honor.

The evening at Pine Knob was a testament to the power of music, its ability to unite, uplift, and inspire. From Games We Play's enthusiastic kickoff to Royal And The Serpent's raw energy, Bring Me The Horizon's commanding performance, and finally, Fall Out Boy's captivating headlining set - this was a night to remember.
