Illenium brings the Ascend Tour to Indianapolis

Illenium brought William Black, and Dabin through the Egyptian Room at the Old National Centre in Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, November 5th with the Ascend Tour. The tour continues through 11/29/2019 making its way to the west coast, with several date sold out, and others on low ticket alerts this tour is definitely one that fans were ready for and excited to see.

The show opened with William Black who has been gaining a lot of recognition in the genre over the last couple of years. His set was solid, and included several remixes that got fans moving and kept the crowd engaged. The trick for openers is that typically they are not the main reason that fans are there and may even not be known to many fans. So they use their time to warm the crowd up for the following acts and Will killed it. The energy took off immediately with his mixes and it seemed that all the fans were feeling what he was doing.

Then Dabin took stage, and there was no delay in the fans getting into his set. Often because of the set changes the crowd calms down, and cools off then the next act has to spend a little time getting them back into it. Not with Dabin. From the first bass drop the fans were back,. Playing a very high energy set as the crowd continued to grow and more fans filed in to the venue.

When it came time for Illenium to take the stage the place was packed and ready for a party. The crowd was insane from the very first beat. Fans have clearly been looking forward to this show, and they showed up in full force, screaming along to the words, letting the music hit them and dancing like nobody was watching. The set featured a solid mix of hit songs and remixes, as well as some lesser known tracks. No matter if you are a new fan of Illenium or if you’ve been following him for years this show will definitely not be disappointed in the performance.

The tour is in support of the new album Ascend. The album is the 3rd full length album and features a number of guest vocals such as Foy Vance, Bahari, and Jon Bellion. Featuring singles that have been blowing up like “Good Things Fall Apart”, “Tie Me Down”, and “Crashing”.

The stage design is awesome, in the Egyptian room they had to modify some of the aspects of it to make it fit into a smaller area than it was designed for. The full stage set up of this show is really one of the best show designs I’ve seen in awhile and highly recommend checking it out.
